When I open xDx designer schematic in Vx1.1 xtream mode, Sheet open read only more and it's says like"Schematic is in read only mode (locked by Administrator on computer) .
Kindly suggest How can I solve above problem? I want to edit multiple sheets?

Zoom to selection function:
is completly unusable / uncomfortable because after zoom you see on your screen only one, big component only...
I need do see this component in the center of screen and a few neighbor components to tee a context.
It makes no sense to put one big component on full screen...
Is it possible to set somehow in mentioned, reasonable way?

Hi all,
I'm running Xpedition VX.1.1 with a USB dongle on a Windows 7 prof. system with HASP driver 6.65.0.0 and everything is working fine.
If I upgrade the HASP driver to version 7.41.0.0 then my VX.1.1 software will not start and give an error. Saying that it can not obtain a license for the VX.1.1 software: error code [mgls_errno = 203}.
If I then unplug the USB dongle and plug it in again the VX.1.1 software starts with no error and everything is working fine.
Can someone explain this driver problem or have any solution to fix this problem so I can use the latest HASP driver?

Referencing the recently updated MG547284 I set out to exclude from passing on to the net list a bunch of documentation items that we need to have on our parts lists.
First problem encountered was the property Forward to PCB does not exist. Not to be deterred I fired up the Property Definition Editor and noted it was not there either.
I added a User property Forward to PCB True|False and applied it to the documentation items, but the items still get passed to the netlist / PCB.
What am I missing?

Windows 7 and 8.1 PCs will get direct upgrade to Windows 10.
Are all Mentor tools at that time ready for Windows 10?

I've been trying to get partquest to work with PADS VX1.2 without any success.
I followed Gary's video but doesn't work as in the video.
I am missing PartQuest directory and partquest.ini file after installation. only folder created was PartQuesttools and its directories
files extracted with .x extension
click on import partquest part
nothing else happens
All of the sudden, not sure what happened, SETUP > DISPLAY COLORS will not pull up at all.
This occurs on any layout file I try to do it on, so it is not isolated to one layout file.
What toggle could have turned this off?
Maybe it is somehow coming up now behind the main screen? If so, I can't find it by minimizing or closing other screens.

I are on rewriting all our scripting emperium to new VX release. With most of scripts I did not have a problem.
But with our library-Checker versus SAP I have.
In Expedition 7.9.4 Script is running well.
I write scripts in Visual Basic Express 2010.
What I have do:
I add a reference to ...SDD_HOME\common\win32\lib\PDBEditor.dll. With 7.9.4 it works perfect.
When I add a reference to VX1...PDBEditor.dll
appPED = CreateObject("MGCPCBLibraries.PartsEditorDlg") will do nothing.
How did you open your VX Partseditor ?
Any hints are welcome!

I've been trying to output true type font from the silkscreen generator with no success. All the silkscreen generator does is outline the true type font. I come from a PADS background and have used true type font on many designs with no issues, is it possible to use true type fonts on the silkscreen in Xpedition VX 1.1? If so, how?
There is a hotkey for pushing into a schematic of a hierarchical block:
"h" -> WVOPushSchematic
Is it possible to set a hotkey for going up the hierarchy?

I use Xpedition VX1.1 update 6
From xDM Library Tools, i run Part Editor
I select a part, i select Pin Mapping and click on Symbol / Cell Preview
I see only the cell, the symbol is not visible !!
The part has symbol and cell associate
Anybody know this problem.... and have a solution ?

What OS are you running? We have had people ask to support Linux in AATK and I am not opposed to it, in fact the majority of the script should work in Linux. We have issues with some of the menus and forms where we took advantage of some Windows only DLL's. We also have those script that talk directly to Microsoft Excel or call other windows programs.
Just a poll to see what OS your sepnding the most time supporting with Xpediton Enterprise Automation.

We use JBW for copying Projects. Thats's for sure! you know... never copy an open iCDB. But with JMW it's okay doing that.
My problem is, that it works on some computers, but today we spread Expedition on an additional computer.
This computer is like all other ones. But when I try the script to copy per automation with JMW, an error occurs (only by
scripting - not when I copy direct with JMW) - this error is calling:
"Unable to get information about version of common databse. Copy will not continue."
Who can give me a kick, to understand that message? I grope in the dark!
The parameters are the same as on a computer where it works well!

I have created different eight circuit on the PADs.
I would like to merge all the these circuit in the one pcb layout.
I have tried as "copy and past" but it didn't work

As a service bureau I work for many different companies. At times am asked to supply the library created for that company while working on their jobs so they can use it in future designs that go to other layout people or companies. My question is how can I supply the 3D model mapping for the parts used only in their designs and how can this be imported by another PADS user? Have not been asked yet but certainly know one company will ask me soon since I cannot do all their work alone. It is a lot of work to map and align the 3D models, work which they paid to have done, and in my mind should be able to get a return on that investment. Currently see no way for this to happen so hopefully the Mentor Graphics people can help.
Do like the 3D feature of PADS and have found it useful. What I find tiresome is how the parts are mapped and aligned. Is there a file which has this information that can be edited and if so what is needed to do so?

I started using Flovent not so long ago and I am still discovering how to use it. I have seen on the software description that we can simulate opening doors with Flovent. But I am still searching how. I assume that it will be with a Source object. But to which variables do I need to apply the source?
